Community Development & Neighbourhood
The Neighbourhood Overpool Forum
St Margaret's Community Trust facilitates the Overpool Neighbourhood Forum as part of it's commitment to community development in Ward End.
The Overpool Neighbourhood Forum aims to encourage and enable local residents to get involved in all aspects and issues that affect their neighbourhood.
The Forum seeks to provide a platform that brings residents together on a regular basis to address community issues of common interest to improve the community spirit amongst local residents as well as to enhance the quality of life in the area in which we live.
The Forum has a Management Committee of ten local residents who organise four public meetings annually in accordance with their constitution.
Some of the 'Hot Topics' that have been debated and addressed locally with guest speakers to whom residents can put their concerns include:
Funds are being sought to continue the Over 60's Lunch Club which is based at Christ Church, Burney Lane, Ward End on Thursdays between 11am and 3pm.

Some of the successes that the Forum have had include publishing a book written by a local resident. (All proceeds of which will be channelled back for the welfare of residents in the Overpool area through the delivery of community projects supported by the Neighbourhood Forum) and influencing road safety changes to specific roads in the neighbourhood.
